Video Signal Processing and Transmission

Search

Within the area of video signal processing and transmission emphasis is on development of signal processing methods for image and video coding at low data rates and for quality improvement in noisy video signals or such which are received with transmission errors. Algorithms for fault tolerant and scalable video coding are designed and methods for secure transmission over packet networks are investigated. Further work is done on extraction and use of meaningful features for image and video data and on transcoding of multimedia data to different modalities and quality levels. Also important are methods for embedding imperceptible, robust and secure watermarks in digital media.
